There’s no trailer to position, no second vehicle to coordinate, and no crew member standing around waiting for the truck to get into place. Straight trucks aren’t the answer for every job. If you need to place concrete at extreme heights or distances, a larger trailer-mounted unit may be necessary. What should I check before buying a used Schwing pump?

  • The hopper and rock valve. Open the inspection cover and measure clearances. Heavy scoring tells you how the pump was actually run.

In practical terms, the process is classroom or online training, then hands-on training, then an evaluation on an actual forklift. Operators must be at least 18. The employer has to document the training and evaluation, and operators are re-evaluated at least every three years. There are plenty of providers.
